Our HRBP will work across our Operations, Customer Experience and Marketing teams to operate as a trusted partner in facilitating and supporting the people agenda across the teams, aligned to our strategic people plan for the UK

Specifically you will be responsible for the following:


Core Purpose of the role

  • Ensure the operational end to end practices, processes and policies for the end to end employee life cycle are embedded in day to day HR interactions, presenting knowledge, advised and skilled interpretation to ensure consistency aligned to business needs.
  • Partner with the business functional leaders to drive and deliver HR solutions aligned to BAU and transformation activity.
  • Support organisation effectiveness by developing, validating and implementing solutions aligned to strategy.
  • Expand leadership awareness of HR processes and systems to strengthen people management.
  • Ensure the mechanics of HR work to deliver efficiency and effectiveness for the teams.
  • Ensure that policies, procedures and practices designed to support the employee life cycle are effectively and consistency implemented to enhance the employee experience.
  • Facilitation of change to maximise people performance i.e. organization alignment, competencies and talent management
  • Coaching and consulting to embed collaboration and ownership of people matters.
  • Influencing to align HR and business with the customer dynamic
  • Ensuring foundational HR practices are efficiently embedded i.e. comp and bens practices and alignment for growth (L&D)


Main Assignments

HR Strategic delivery

  • Understand challenges that business managers & operational leaders face and assist in the effective delivery of business and HR strategy and supporting policy development.
  • Report on and understand HR Analytics to influence progress and performance, regularly reporting back to the Director of HR on key trends, patterns and related initiatives.
  • Encourages effective communication between senior managers and stakeholders through implementation of communication best practice.
  • Promotes best practice across the business, presenting HR matters in a clear and concise way ensuring managers implement HR policies and practices;
  • Keep up to date with employment legislation changes and ensure implementation across the business;
  • Understand and anticipate the need for change, diagnose the underlying issues and build the case for operationally lead change with stakeholders. In conjunction with the Director of HR / Head of HR build frameworks to plan and manage the continuous process of change including dependencies, risk, potential scenarios and options to mitigate.


HR Planning & Business Development

  • Initiate, support the design and implement high impact people solutions that meet the needs of the business.
  • Work with the Head of HR and team to ensure the effective facilitation and delivery of HR calendar events throughout the business, including application of Talent frameworks, Performance management cycles, Reward frameworks, Pay and Bonus Review, Spirit Awards and Employee Engagement surveys and resulting action plans.
  • Build and develop effective working relationships with business managers and clients in order to become a key decision maker on strategically driven business issues by linking specialist HR knowledge


Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Provide local support on complex ER matters and develop appropriate commercial solutions. Build strong working relationships with the leadership team, regularly updating on HR activity to ensure an efficient HR service is delivered to the business;
  • Design and deliver coaching solutions to line managers on ER issues for improved proactive and reactive handling of cases including interpreting of Employment and Case Law
  • Support the management of communications and engagement activity achieving results as specified in KPIs;
  • Be an advocate for Diversity and Inclusion within the business to identify issues and potential improvements.


Resourcing, Recruitment and On-boarding

  • Drive consistency of approach across BRS UK in attracting, managing and developing talent to support current and future organisational needs
  • Work with Managers to identify resource needs across business to maintain/improve performance.
  • Spot-check the effectiveness of pre-employment checks and on-boarding and drive compliance for RTW.
  • Proactively audit the HR administration service aligned to allocated business area
  • Retention, Talent Management & Employee Relations and Performance Management
  • Provide overview to Director of HR and HR team to support with the facilitation of Talent Management, Succession planning and leadership development at a local level.
  • Work with senior leadership team and Director of HR to identify key talent and devise plans to retain within the business, ensuring knowledge of the local and global talent frameworks.
  • Performance Management
  • Use/analyse HRMI to identify people and performance management gaps and provide practical solutions by developing action plans for business and individual improvement.
  • Actively promote the implementation of the Aspire process and assist on Aspire review sessions.



    • Assist the Head of L&D to conduct overall skills gap analysis in line with business and HR strategy and identify areas for learning development within the business.
    • Performance Intervention and Change
    • Provide Head of HR/HRD with business area knowledge to jointly develop and deliver change, Organisation Design and Development
    • Continuously drive improvements in tools and policies through external market trends, insight, and internal best practice
    • Use data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of tools and policies and understand the landscape for further improvement
