People are at the heart of everything we do - that's why we're committed to our corporate responsibilities. Learn more about the Better Tomorrow Plan.
The people who work with us. Our clients, and the people who work with them. The communities we live in. All of these people are important to us – so that’s why people are at the heart of our corporate responsibility approach.
When it comes to CSR, we’re not interested in empty promises – all that matters to us is making a real difference to people’s quality of life, every single day.
Almost 20 years ago now, Sodexo Group launched the Better Tomorrow Plan – a global CSR roadmap that brings together Sodexo employees in 80 countries across the world, and unites them in the same mission – to make people’s lives better and easier.
It all starts with us! The people we can help and support most easily are the ones that walk through our doors every single day. Making sure they’re working in an inspiring and collaborative environment, and supporting their work/life balance, is the very first step we can take.
Diversity and inclusivity are absolutely fundamental to us. We want to make sure all of our employees have equal opportunities, and we support our employees with diversity and inclusion networks, as well as actively promoting inclusive leadership. Gender balance is particularly important, and we’re proud to see over half of our management positions filled by women.
We’re something of a globetrotting business, so minimising our environmental footprint is essential to us. It’s seen us get a bit creative when it comes to our day-to-day operations, leading the way with environmentally friendly policies and recycling efforts.
We’re always looking for ways we can give back to the communities we work in, and we really pride ourselves on the impact we’ve been able to have. We share our expertise and resources with local charities, schools and small businesses to make sure every member of the Sodexo family is part of an amazing community.
We created the Stop Hunger Foundation in 1996 with the aim of tackling hunger, supporting good nutrition, and promoting life skills in local communities across the world. With 795 million people worldwide living without enough food, or without the skills they need to lead a healthy life, there’s so much work to be done – and we’re so proud of our ability to make a difference across the world.
Through the Stop Hunger Foundation, we currently work with the following charities, chosen by our employees:
